Andy Herrmann Trio

In his newly constituted trio, the pianist (now resident in Munich) pursues his secret passion – the jazz of the ‘Great American Songbook’. With three CDs to his name so far, the jazz pianist and classically trained composer has been very successful with his own compositions. Now he is issuing his first disk of standards, with a hand-picked selection of pieces from the Great American Songbook. The trio, with Thomas Stabenow (double bass) and Rick Hollander (drums), impresses with subtle interplay and celebrated straight-ahead jazz at the highest level of excellence.
